Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tornic really open source?

Yes - the desktop app is MIT licensed and the full source lives on GitHub. You can read it, audit it, fork it, and ship your own builds. Paid tiers unlock multi-machine orchestration and support; they do not gate the core workflow engine.

Do I have to pay anything to use Tornic?

No. The Starter (open-source) tier is free forever and includes 3 active workflows on a single machine. Paid tiers exist for users who need to coordinate work across multiple machines or want priority support.

Is this a one-time purchase?

Yes. You pay once and own your license forever. No subscriptions, no recurring fees, no surprise charges.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe.

What does early access pricing mean?

Early access pricing is available to the first 500 customers before general release. Early access buyers also get lifetime updates as an exclusive perk. After early access ends, prices increase to the regular rate and new purchases include 1 year of updates.

What happens with updates after early access?

Early access customers receive lifetime updates to Tornic - every future version, forever. Standard purchases (after early access) include 1 year of updates, with an optional annual renewal available after that.

Can I upgrade from Pro to Architect later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time and only pay the difference between the two tiers.

Do I need a separate CLI subscription?

Yes. Tornic works with your existing Claude, Codex, or Cursor CLI subscription. It does not include a CLI subscription.
